What is a booking Option?

An option means that your boat is kept for you for a limited time, usually 2 or 3 days, before it is available again for others to book. During this time you have to proceed with the instructions provided to you when you made the option to confirm the reservation.

Can I cancel my booking?

If the booking is already confirmed you must get in contact with Wahiva. But keep in mind that every boat owner has their own cancellation policies and is up to them the resolution of the cancelation.

What do I have to do if I have questions that I want an answer before making the booking?

You can get in contact with the Wahiva team by phone, email or sending a message through the contact form. You can get all the information at the contact page.

How can I ask for an invoice?

When the booking is confirmed, you can ask for the invoice to the boat owner.


Are the boats insured?

All the boats listed at Wahiva are insured.

The availability of the boats is in real time?

No, the boat availability is updated every few hours so a boat that appears to be free can be occupied. However, when you search for dates on an specific boat it will check for the true availability at that time.

Are the boats available to book for only one day?

The majority of the boats are only available to book for complete weeks. But still there are some that can be booked only for one day.


Which payment options are available?

At this moment Wahiva only support wire transfer payments. If you want to pay by credit card you can get in contact with Wahiva at the contact page.

When the booking is payed?

Usually two payments of 50% of the booking price are made. The first to confirm the booking (before the option expiration), and another 30 days before the start of the booking.

When are the extras and the deposit payed?

The extras and the deposit is payed directly to the boat owner on the base.


I forgot my password, what do I do?

You can go to the forgot my password page and introduce your email address. An email with the reset password instructions will be sent to you.

Why didn't I receive any email of confirmation?

Sometimes the email providers block some of the emails that are sent. If this happens you can get in contact with Wahiva and we will gladly sent you all the information that you need.
